Wildman / Whitewater Rafting
Menominee River Outpost / N22200 Bomber Road, Niagara, Wi 54151
The world-class Menominee River provides the whitewater enthusiast with some of the largest volume rapids in the Midwest, with characteristics similar to those found on the Colorado River. Late in the summer, when other rivers are low, the dam released Menominee River will continue to produce large whitewater and incredible rafting experiences all the way from our put-in in Wisconsin to our take-out in Michigan. Due to the class III and IV rapids on the Menominee, we run our 8-10 person rafts with a guide in every boat.
Peshtigo River Outpost / N12080 Allison Lane Athelstane, Wi 54104
The Peshtigo River is a Class II-IV river that is known as the longest continuous stretches of whitewater in the Midwest. Our shuttle bus will take you upstream to the put-in, where you will experience all of the whitewater action of the famous “Roaring Rapids” section of the Peshtigo River. Granite rock formations and spectacular scenery are encountered along the tree-lined shores of the river. Wildman Adventure Resort has private access to the river along the rapids, which means that you can hike and scout the rapids before you conquer them. Our private landing by the rapids allows you to rerun the most exciting rapids! Changing water levels provides guests with various types of boats to accompany them down the river- from single person inflatables to 16 foot, 8 person rafts, water-dependent.

Beat the winter blues and go for high adventure with spring rafting on the Peshtigo. April and May meltage and showers bring high water on the Peshtigo River. Run off of snow and deep frost results in periods of very large and exciting whitewater rafting. These challenging rapids are the best in the Midwest!
